What are Your Colors? Part 2

Can you imagine living in a world that was all black and white?? I don’t know about you, but I love color!? It is an absolutely amazing world that we live in and it is filled with brilliant colors that range in intensity and hue.? We are talking this week about colors and how to pick colors that compliment our bodies.? I touched on color types and that they were associated with seasons.? Yesterday, we talked specifically on winter colors and today we will address Summer colors.

If you are a Summer, then you have skin undertones are pink and blue like Winter complexions.??? Skin is pale colored and pink.? Most of the time, a person that has a summer complexion is a brunette with light eyes or a natural blonde.

Summer colors have a medium intensity and the hues are more muted and neutral.? Pastels are summer colors and they are not icy looking like the light winter colors tend to look.? Colors like lavender, soft blues, and plums fall into this category.? If you are a summer, you would definitely want to avoid colors such as orange and even black.? Some people you might recognize that have summer complexions are Michelle Pfieffer, Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston.? Gemstones to consider wearing would be Amethyst, green Turquoise, Peridot, and Aquamarine.?

Another way of determining colors is to break it into 2 categories, gold or silver.? You can best determine which looks better simply by laying a gold piece of jewelry as well as a silver piece side by side on your skin.? The one that matches your color type will appear brighter and reflect on your skin.? Winter and Summer both have cool tones.? Silver is considered to compliment cool tones better than gold.?
