Pepper Spray Batons Fight of Offenders

You are walking to your car at dusk and there aren’t too many people around. You are fiddling with your keys so you can open the door to your vehicle. Out of the corner of your eye, you see an individual who is quite a bit larger than you are approaching you quickly. As you approach your car, the individual is quickly approaching you, but you are still having trouble with your keys. Before you can get the door open, the person is right next to you and it is obvious that – at the least – they will be grabbing your purse. In a second, you decide that you have to use the pepper spray baton you have with you attached to your key chain. As the individual approaches, you pull the baton out and spray the pepper spray into the would-be attacker’s face. The attacker immediately closes their eyes and starts rubbing them making the burning worse. The attacker is also coughing because of the pepper. While the attacker is disoriented, you slide the key into the lock, get into your car, lock the door, start the motor and drive away. As you get to safety you dial 911, knowing that the attacker will be dealing with the burning eyes and disorientation for a few more minutes. This is self-defense at its best.

With the advent of more crime everywhere, most of us want to feel safe and protected, whether we are at home or work or in between. We could carry a gun; however, many people don’t want to use a lethal weapon as a form of protection. There are many good alternatives to the use of a gun for protection, and one of the best is pepper spray. It will, as stated above, disorient and stop your attacker, while making them painfully aware that they picked the wrong person to attack.
