Italia Independent presented complete eyewear range at Mido

Making its first appearance at the International Optics Exhibition in Milan, Italia Independent introduced the complete range of men’s, women’s and unisex vision and sun eyewear for the first time.

It was the debut of the first line of vision eyewear in cellulose acetate and in seven colors. The I-I vision eyewear has the classical shape of the glasses of the Seventies but with pronounced, squared off nose pieces and more accentuated front pieces than the traditional glasses. The models feature a special opaque effect, created by an elaborate sanding and finishing process, and the I-I logo in milled metal.

These are the other models that were presented at Mido:

- Sunglasses in metal and carbon: inspired by American opticals of the Seventies, unique shapes are created with the bridge, carbon end pieces and hand-brushed opaque metal. The mirrored lenses are Carl Zeiss Vision Sunlens. The eyewear comes in five colors: palladium, bronze, black, military green and titanium.

- Fluo sunglasses: the cult accessory for summer 2008. A complete revamp of the two unisex models presented a year ago, in a surprising palette of colors. Each pair is hand-painted in one of the bright new fluo colors and the two classic I-I models (wraparound and the pear shape of the Seventies).

The other models in acetate: - Feminine sunglasses: inspired by those worn by Marella Agnelli and Jackie Kennedy in the Sixties, now in new, larger shapes. The I-I logo in transparent technopolymer is set into every model by hand. The eyewear comes in one-color or two-color opaque.

- The now classical models in acetate feature a special opaque effect created by an elaborate sanding and finishing process. If bought on www.italiaindependent.com, these models can have personal initials inserted on the temples.

- Model with 24H lenses produced by Carl Zeiss Vision Sunlens. 24H lenses are the first in the world that can be worn all day. During the day, the lenses give 100% UV protection and, thanks to a special treatment, they are also perfect for wearing indoors. They are the answer for anyone who wants to enjoy natural colors without sacrificing total protection. At night, thanks to a specific anti-reflection treatment, 24H lenses protect the eyes for relaxed vision.
